How do I create an account?
To create an account, click on Create new account button on top right corner on our main page. Fill in information about yourself and mark in security box that you are not a robot. Next click create my new account button. The email will follow with the link to verify your new account. Make sure to write down your username and password somewhere. If you do not receive an email within a few minutes, please check your spam or junk folder. If you do not receive a confirmation email, please email firstname.lastname@example.org
How can I enroll to the course?
Click on the desired course on the dashboard. Scroll down to the course description till the very end. You will see the enroll me button at the end of course description. Click it to enroll to the desired course.
What kind of courses do we offer?
We offer two courses on Counseling on Access to Lethal Means (CALM) and Preventing Suicide in Emergency Department Patients.
How do I
complete a course?
To receive a certificate of completion, you must do the following online: complete each lesson in the course, pass the posttest (passing score is 80% or higher), and answer the feedback survey questions. A green checkmark will appear across from each lesson/section when complete. Optional Resources are NOT required for the course completion.
How do I know if I completed a lesson?
To complete a lesson, you must click on all interactive content
(including case studies), scroll down through all interactive content
thoroughly and answer the knowledge check questions at the end of each lesson.
Turn on the list of sections at the left-hand side so you could track progress inside a lesson. The progress inside the lesson must be 100%.
How do I know if I scroll down the lesson properly?
We suggest using all three scroll bars for a better option of viewing material of the lesson. Pay attention to all sections inside the lesson (you can view them all on the left side of the screen).
Once the section is completed, the blue circle with a tick will appear.
When you scroll down one section till the end you will get an option to open up the next one.
Why can’t I submit my feedback survey?
If you are unable to submit your feedback survey for a course, most likely you have not completed lessons and taken the posttest. You can check if you have completed this section by looking for the green check mark in the course menu page across from the section title.
Why can’t I access the posttest in a course?
The posttest will become active when each lesson is complete. To complete a lesson, you must click on all interactive content (including case studies) scroll through all interactive content thoroughly and answer the knowledge check questions at the end of each lesson.
Where can I find my certificate of completion?
It may take up to 24 hours to generate your certificate of completion.
Once a certificate is generated, it can be viewed or downloaded at any time in
the Certificates section of your profile.
Why isn’t my course progress being saved?
You may face issues with course progress being saved when using an Ipad or an iphone. Our best understanding of this issue is that the default settings for those devices block cookies, which means that your progress cannot be saved. We recommend using a PC/laptop with the latest version of browsers.
Why isn’t my lesson loading properly?
Users taking our course using the Microsoft Internet Explorer have experienced problems loading pages – sometimes the page will not load and other times there are sections missing from the page. We recommend using one of the following browsers: Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Firefox, or Opera.
I forgot my Password.
To reset your password, please submit your username or email address in the Forgot Password section in the Log in window. The email will follow with the link to reset your password. If you do not receive an email within a few minutes, please check your spam or junk folder. Please also take note that Passwords must be at least 8 characters long, must have at least 1 lower case letter(s), at least 1 upper case letter(s) and at least 1 non-alphanumeric character(s) such as as *, -, or #.
How much does the training cost?
Our courses are free of charge.
Is there a video training in your courses?
Our courses contain interactive content without video training.
The SPRC online courses are available to individual users. To protect the privacy of our users, reports are not available to organizations to track their members’ progress. After completing a course, our system generates a certificate of completion. Your organizational members can submit a copy of their certificate for tracking purposes.
Can I earn CEU’s for any of the SPRC online courses?
We do not offer continuing education credits for any of our courses. Check with your professional organization to find out if you can receive credit.
Can I get additional documentation to submit for CEU credit with my professional organization?
We are unable to provide additional documentation for CEU applications. Each course description page provides the information requested for most CEU applications, including the course length, objectives, and audience.
