Prevention Solutions@EDC provides training and expert consultation to support public health agencies and organizations working to address substance misuse and related problems in their communities.
Our state-of-the science trainings help prevention leaders and practitioners develop the skills and resources they need to plan, implement, and evaluate prevention systems that are both effective and sustainable.
Prevention Solutions@EDC is operated by Education Development Center (EDC), a global nonprofit that advances lasting solutions to improve education, promote health, and expand economic opportunity.
For nearly 20 years, EDC operated SAMHSA’s Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies (CAPT), a national training and technical assistance center dedicated to strengthening the nation’s prevention workforce. All courses included on this site were developed by EDC, under the CAPT contract.
